    Car coat (Whitefeather) back length

Loungers, thinking of investing in one of these beauties from the as yet little known Whitefeather Mfg Co in Vienna. What do people reckon is the ideal back length for such a jacket? I think they are best kept fairly brief – but not too brief. I am just over 6' (184cm) and was thinking a 28"...

    Thedi Leathers video

I ordered the shawl 'cognac' buffalo, meaning I will soon have a considerable – albeit dead – menagerie in my house. You can also choose a nice goat and horse. They are really sweet, trim jackets; you can get cotton, blanket or, I think, cord lining. In the unlikely event you can make it, it's...

    Thedi Leathers video

I visited Thedi in Thessa and have a shawl-collar coming. Will, of course, post.

RRL halfbelt: pictured (a terrible ripoff?)

Midcentury Modern: they have regular shows in London. Beautiful stuff.

RRL halfbelt: pictured (a terrible ripoff?)

Oh yes, those are nice, but you should go to a Midcentury Modern show, where you'll find as nice, and period, for much less.

RRL halfbelt: pictured (a terrible ripoff?)

This was kind of my point. Was a bit galling for £1,500+. This has been discussed on the FL before but part of our interest in niche apparel, I think, is a consideration of how it is made, which includes by whom.

I also only buy during the sale, when everything is half-price or cheaper. Their shirts are well cut, I think. Wonder if the live makes a profit.

May have been calfskin, in fact. At 50%, that looks a lot more reasonable. Arms were oddly baggy.

RRL halfbelt: pictured (a terrible ripoff?)

Randomly tried on the above in Liberty's (London) today. Bizarre that they ask £1,500 for it when it's a rather baggy fit and in flimsy leather. Surely any equivalent from the makers regularly discussed here would be better, and possibly custom, for half the price. I can understand a Real McCoy...

    ELMC Horse Hide G-1

Great look. I was tempted by the very same but want a diff colour mouton. How warm, Gav?

ELC SHOW IN LONDON STARTING 17th of NOV. Who is going?

Go if you can. It's like you died and woke up in leather-jacket heaven. The Pinocchio almost brought me round to A-2 patches. And Fliegerjacken.

London winter: how warm a leather?

This is what we should be telling the UN.

Good Wear Modoc – Seal Brown Goat

I'm told Apple have just shy of 1,000 technicians working on the iPhone camera (possibly more than Nikon's whole technical department) so I wouldn't be too worried.

Good Wear Modoc – Seal Brown Goat

Actually, I would go Fuji. Just sold all my Nikon DSLR gear for the much lighter Fuji XT1 and truly beautiful Fujinon lenses.

London winter: how warm a leather?

Hm, this partly just an excuse to get a mouton collar, because after trying on the M-422A at Real McCoys I decided I really want one. What more convincing argument against global warming do we need than that it risks rendering leather jackets extinct!

The demise of the loose fit

Baggy leather jackets look horrific. Skinny wear is only marginally less grotesque. Leathers should be trim: leather is a relatively heavy material and easily gathers into excess. Similarly, leather jackets don't work with protuberant guts. The two somehow cancel each other out. I am actually...

Aero Plainsman -- Seal Vincenza Horsehide

Jacket looks great, Superfluous. Could I ask what size you went for, your chest size and the hide colour. Sorry if this info is in the thread somewhere and I have missed.
