What's ironic is that another thrift shop a few blocks a way recently dropped the price of their LPs from a buck to a quarter.
Yes, that Brit shop is just a half a block down the street from me. Never tried Marmite, but you've now got my curiousity up....
I'm thinking 'period' films are those made at that current time, but set in the past (maybe the future?). So 'Casablanca' wouldn't qualify since it was made during WWII and set during WWII.
For some reason, while single and in my 40s, I think of myself as younger than people in their 20s with kids. I guess it's because I can do whatever and whenever I want.
I am so mad at my local Goodwill...:rage: They recently raised the prices of thier LPs from 75 cents to $1.65. Isn't that rediculous? I've lived in this town for over eight years and LPs were the one item in the store that never changed price and I've bought hundreds. Now the price has more...
Thanks. You need a telephoto to get a shot like this. The one I used isn't that powerful of one (only a 200mm...a 300mm would have made it even nicer). The full moon always appears larger when it's rising on the horizon as a backdrop to buildings and such.
I watched 'Dinner Rush' yesterday afternoon. It's a slick little film about a hectic night at a trendy Manhatten Italian restaurant. It has one of the best surprising and satisfying endings I've seen in a long time!

Very nice. They look like they might have been hidden in the back room of an old men's clothing store. I've seen two and three different color schemes of a same tie design, but never four!
This is last week's full moon rising over the historic district where I live. I can't believe I was the only one in the big city park out shooting this...[huh]

I finally got to see 'Snakes on a Plane' last night. What a hoot.:eusa_doh: ...nasty, but a hoot. People must have been screaming their heads off when watching it on the big screen (definitely not a date movie). I can see it becoming a cult film to be shown in theaters at midnight every...
Here's a couple more from that 'J. Galet' line of ugly ties. These guys are 5 1/4 inches wide at their widest....too wide for me to wear. It's funny that the labels say 'Beverly Hills.' Were these the 'cool' ties to wear at that time???
Sort of a chocolate/mint green combo:
