    I hope it works out… you may have rushed the alteration. This Schott horsehide is really stiff at first which flares out, until it breaks and settles in.

    Is the collar pressure as bad when you aren't wearing the mouton collar? How does the leather smell? That was my big issue with the Doniger. My understanding is that modern Cal is still fantastic, just quite expensive.
