You know, the sweatband is coming out of one of my Borsos.....it's a shame really, but it'd be a bigger shame to not wear it because it didn't have an intact sweatband..I should ship it off to Bob actually.
It's never a bad hat day on the Lounge!
David: nice Adam, not sure that I've ever seen more decorative stitches on a single hat. The wind cord button matching the binding is a nice touch.
Andy: Proportions look good! That lightweight black cherry is great felt.
HatsRme: snazzy pork pie...
3 1/2 is exceedingly low for a fedora style hat. Is there a particular reason you want something this small? Seems like something that small would be a child sized hat.
I don't know of any variation in the thickness of wool felt. Frankly, I don't think that much thought gets put into the...
I would be downright shocked if Facade's comments were the result of any formal education in social sciences, anthropology, or related fields. In fact, I'm quite positive the opposite is true.

RIP Mr. Philip Chevron, best known as the guitarist for the Celtic punk band The Pogues, as well as his own band The Radiators. He passed today, age 56, after a battle with cancer.
Neither the modern HJ poet, nor current production Borsalinos, pass the bar for "high quality" compared to a vintage hat.
My vote for a Raiders hat goes (in no particular order):
1) Custom, see: Garrison, Penman, Adventurebilt. Made to measure, highest quality materials.
2) The Henry from...
