I’ve been screaming this lately. I know it doesn’t apply to those in climates where it doesn’t get below 50f much but for those of us in 4 season climates skin tight and sexy is only worthwhile if you’re 25 or younger.
Unless you are in the .00004% you won’t land your “forever jacket” on the first attempt. If by chance you do you’ll stay on TFL, post pics, participate, and then buy 12 more “forever jackets” while simultaneously getting addicted to (choose 1, or 2, or all) really heavy denim, High end...
But for me the problem is sitting in a car or on a bike zipped forces the collar up into the jaw. That is until it gets sweatshirt soft like this one (which i got used and prob took the better part of 2 decades)
My B in comp weight. Great jacket with the exception of the lack of two way zipper. For a company that Nails function so well, the lack of a 2 way is a real head scratcher.
I believe you mean cargo shorts and Blackhawks jersey. I have the IH deck jacket. I’m cold blooded. I hoped i’d have a full body mouton to remain cool. May just rock type 3 under the usn peacoat
Shame on me. I shoulda bought @powesci’s when i had the chance. Gonna be 9f next week. May have to resort to down puffer. I’ll ashamedly turn in my TFL card
Dehen 1920 N1 that I ordered and waited for was shipped and has been returned. The new model that they had available is 13oz sateen. The older version is 10.5 oz waxed. The waxed felt much more substantial. I found the relative lightness of the sateen made the jacket quite shapeless.
I’m in the no flap camp. I get the purpose but don’t care for the aesthetic. I’ve not purchased jackets solely on them having a flap. My argument against removing is if (when) you decide to sell the jacket your “modification” will kill resale value.
