The thing I hate about my touch screen phone is, fingerprints on the glass! Every time I use the phone, I end up using my hot breath and a wipe on my cotton shirt to remove the offending greasy marks. I know, I am neurotic!
The last two days have only been in the low 80s, and it is finally cooling off early in the night, instead of 5:00 AM. This morning felt so nice, I did not want to get out of bed! Sorry to gloat so much.
I agree, as an American, I find it particularly repugnant to blame some one for their fathers crimes, let alone their fathers fathers crimes! Millions of people came to this nation to escape that kind of blame, for sins they had nothing to do with.
For the Japanese war crimes being ignored here in the USA, it was pure and simple bigotry! Out side of Hirohito and Tojo, most Americans could not name any of the other defendants, nor pronounce their names. Add to that, the Cold War, then the Korean War, where Japan was our only base for the...
PBS, had a great documentary called My NAZI Legacy. It was about the sons of Hans Frank and Otto Von Wachter. Horst Wachter refused to believe his father had anything to do with the Holocaust! On the other hand, Niklas Frank, so hated his Father, I think it ruined his life. Very worth while film!
Funny you should mention that, my mother won a trash compactor back in the 70s. She got rid of it because of the very issue you mention! Personally, anything that is going to stink, goes into the small plastic grocery bags and straight into the outside trash that evening! Only non smelly items...
Funny, if you asked the average person, which state is more advanced, Maine or Colorado, you would win 9 out of 10 times! Yet, everyone I know is shocked when I tell them my Victorian came sans disposer!
The Other Box, (1966) Not sure why I missed this one? It has Dialing For Dollars written all over it! Back in the 70s, I usually got off my construction job in time to watch, then off to night school, oh to have that kind of stamina again. Spoiler alert, I think this must have been the only time...
Got to like Michael J. Pollard! He was in a lot of shows back then, often playing teenagers, even though he was 27 at that time. I liked him, opposite Robert Redford in Little Fauss And Big Halsy! Kim Darby was still a teen barely at 19. Then again old Shatner was probably sleeping with younger...
You come out of the Grocery store, wheel your cart down the isle, (I always park at the end) and you see that your truck is gone! Heart failure big time! Then you look over, and realize, Next Isle!
From what I understand, they did belong to a union, Brotherhood of Oompa Loompas 3.8! Now these workers need a union! They are not even alowed to be individuals. :D
Here is a fun one for all of you! Do you call the grinding devise under your sink a Garbage Disposal, or a Garbage Disposer were you come from? I always said Disposer!
The Sound Barrier (1952) It was called Breaking The Sound Barrier in Great Britain! British audiences actually thought it was true, never mind that little orange plane over the Mohave desert in 1947. On a funny side note, after seeing the movie Chuck Yeager said, "The Sound Barrier was...
