Thanks! Yeah, I think I could see me trying out cross country skiing or upland game hunting wearing it.Who knows? I think the hunting pin & brush were something my Pop picked up in Germany when he was stationed there from 1951 to 1953 because they don't seem original to the hat. For my lifetime...
Here is the latest shot. My wife took it prior to us going to a friends engagement party. This hat just keeps getting better with every wearing. I really can't wait to order another in the near future. Sort of a celebration.
Cheers!

Bump!
So, as the fall season approaches in another month and winter right behind it, has anyone else picked up one of these great little Stormy Kromer caps yet? How do you like yours?
The closest thing I have for right now is my black Panzer M43 Enlisted Field Cap.
Cheers!

This here was originally a Stetson 'Low Places' hat That I bought back around 1991. It was one of my rodeo hats. After several years in a box in the back of the closet I thought it was time to pull it out again and have it converted into something that I'd currently be wearing, a fedora. So a...
I figured this is the best place to showcase this hat. This is one that my Pop bought back in the late 1950's early 1960's up in Vancouver, British Columbia. It is a Morgan. Not a hat brand that I'm familiar with. I've loved this hat since childhood though & he finally gave it to me. Imagine my...
As you can see the persons printing was neat.
I do like the idea of it being older though. Whoever had it kept it in really good shape & most likely never wore it. Plus the leather of the sweatband is still soft & supple. It was one of my ebay wins that I was utterly surprised to have won a...
Thank you guys! :) And thank you for the heads-up, good to know it is older than the written date on the liner. I was just presuming the ages by that date. Who knows if it was the first or second owner. In any case it doesn't look like it was worn all that much.
Cheers!

Mine was originally a Stetson 'Low Places' hat. Thought it was time to pull it out and have it converted into something that I'd currently be wearing. So a couple of years back I had Art do his magic on it. It is currently being worn on cooler days, but at least it is getting out now to be worn...
This one is my Stetson Royal, called 'The Vogue'. Someone who previously owned the hat wrote in the date "7-14-57" on the liner. I suppose that is when it was first purchased. In any case it is in fantastic shape.
Thought the coat looked best with it.
And the liner.
Cheers!

Nice one Jimmy, I really like that particular one. :eusa_clap
Here's one from early this morning. Just a basic Dobbs Fifth Ave. Couldn't resist the Mackinaw with it, although it didn't last very long. :) But it does work well with the hat.
Cheers!
