IMHO, John makes the finest A-2 possible, ( I have his Dubow 27798 and Rough Wear 27752).All others of his contracts ( seeing his photos) are the finest amongst the finest repros. Star Sportswear G1 Jacket: Mouton or synthetic and other Questions
Mine is a 1966 contract. Its original fur/fleece. I believe a good tailor is able to replace it according to your desire. Fleece / fur material : I would use parts from an old coat or jacket having a matching colour and texture ( Ebay, flee markets, garage sales etc...). Good luck.- Cooper A-2

Agree! Depending where the OP is living, maybe a visit to Aero, ELC or one of their nearest retailers in EU will help a lot...just try on whatever is available and see the fit...- Cooper A-2
