I have about 25 hats and still feel there are holes in the collection. Certain styles and makes of hats that I still want, but just can't afford at this juncture in time. At least I appreciate what I have and rotate them out with the seasons. Certain hats for certain times of year and climates...
Alan: That picture has a really nice Aspen look to it. Well Done!:eusa_clap
Big_e: Looking sharp as ever. I really like Brett's stuff. I may have to get another of his hats pretty soon. Trouble is, deciding what color I want next. :D
Cheers!

You don't hear too much any more. In the early 90's they were quite popular and you saw the C1 brand all over the place. Min is from about 1990 during the last of my rodeo days. I got out at a young age because I didn't want to have the problems that all the other older rodeo cowboys had with...
Thanks Scotty! But the cap is actually their black herringbone. I've had it for a couple of yeas so it is a tad sun faded and the lighting makes it look brown. Regularly it looks more of a charcoal grey.

Thanks msm, most appreciated. I would say it is on the stiff side. It can take being kicked around by a horse that is determined to get you off its back with out taking too much damage. The felt is fairly thick too. Makes a darn fine winter hat as it does keep the noggin warm and can survive a...
Hey Scotty! Mine is their full cut. I think that the next one I order from them though will be their extra full cut. It'll give it more drape to work with. Now all I have to do is decide on a color. :D

Back in the mid to late 1940's my Pop was a window dresser for Macy's in New York. I wished that he had taken photographs of his work then but he didn't get into photography until 1950. From what he told me he did some pretty spectacular holiday windows. I suppose that if you have photos out...
I always love coming across stuff like this. It brings a greater connection to our relatives and to our collective past. Thank you for sharing these treasures.

Thanks guys, most appreciated. as far as a ribbon or hat band I was going to stray from red for sure. But maybe something similar to an oxblood might look good in a ribbon. Maybe about 1" to 1 1/2" wide. But I was also thinking of like a gunmetal grey or even a deep navy with a contrasting cream...
Wow! That is a really great pic Billy. Looks lie you're going to either pull out a flask or cigar in that shot. Nice candid shot to be sure.
Cheers!

Here is my Charlie One Horse. Autographed by Chris LeDoux.
The one thing I'd like to do is find a new hat band. I'm thinking of a ribbon like a fedora for this one.
Cheers!
