I really like that big side adjusters design, feels much more robust. And the offset placement of the front closure looks cool. I think I prefer the lower placement of the chest pocket and to have hidden zipper teeth. Really like this jacket in brown so I think I'm picking the right leather for...
Your trucker looks great, it's so much better looking that mine. Maybe I should have told them to copy your jackets design but change the measurements lol
I just sent them photos of what it should look like but I don't think the design I sent transferred well to the leather. It still looks like...
I think the extra wide shoulder offsets the short sleeve length but I don't like the relaxed look of the shoulder seams that goes over the shoulders. You can order a Long version of this which will add 1" to both the sleeves/back length.
For tall people it's short but it's too long for me to...
The jackets are so new I doubt there will be any jackets that have much wear on them at this time. I do know @Tom71 has a blue one as well as @Robbie79 (who is on a TFL break). @TooManyHatsOnlyOneHead will have the black teacore soon but he still hasn't even received it yet at this time. Good luck
Got it, you can spec it how you want it to look and that's pretty cool. That's a very reasonable price for something with that much leather. I'll look them up
Here's the actual measurements, I would have been a near perfect fit on paper for the size 36 but the jacket length is too long that's why I'm having one made instead.

I remember they are the brown one that you paired with your brown JL, correct? How does it feel to wear? They sure look great and looked mighty comfy too. Does that company only make western boots?
I've only ever handled 2 shinki jackets so my experience is limited. The brown full aniline (not offered at this time, only 2 jackets made from this hide mine and @MrProper) I received from FL has no top coat, it is pretty smooth to the touch, not a lot of grain, it absorbs water, no squeak, and...
Truman Black Horse Rump. Been loving the horse rump/butt boots, hefty but comfy. They also don't crease much which I think is cool, I have 3 and only boot is showing creasing on the vamp. I'm wondering if horse butt would be a good leather for an engineer? But it might not show the crease/rolls...
Well I knew JL would be pretty good to me like they've always been so I wasn't too concerned. it is a new leather to them too so they probably don't know how it would fair with real world use and my jacket is probably the most well worn one at this point. Yes, the added waist band will just make...
If you really really want a throat latch, you can ask JL to place a hidden button to secure the latch when not in use. But having both might look a little busy on the chest area and the whole front of the jacket as well
Photos are used on other threads already. Wanted to upload the photos for this thread as well for other members/lurkers who might be interested in the badalassi leather. Aero STF Bootlegger in Tobacco Badalassi after having a removable tan mouton collar placed
Yes, the mouton collar should look/feel at home for the next few weeks when it's a little cold. When the zombies do come for us, I'll wear my CXL jacket for a little added bite protection lol
Very mild. No snow, it rare when we have a good rain. I can wear a t shirt outside for a good 8-9...
Me too, should be ready by the 1st/2nd week of March. Im excited to see how that seal HH will look, it will be the first jacket they'll make with that specific hide. I've been wanting a jacket from that specific batch since last summer.
Go back to page 16 of this thread to catch up but in a nutshell the leather shrank and is now back at JL for repair. They asked me if I want a remake but I said just to add a waist band to lengthen the jacket.
The leather itself looks so much nicer now than when new. Most of the top coat sheen...
