    Thank you gentlemen. The problem with the high crown is that even when creased it it hitting the top of my truck when I get in & out. I had it reblocked by Optimo so I might try a different hat maker.

    Thats the problem I am not wearing it open crown & I have it creased the way I like it. I was thinking more along the line of shrinking the crown height. If that makes any sense.

    Does anyone have any suggestions on how to lower a fedoras crown? I have a hat that I really like but the open crown measures 6 inches. I would like it to measure 5 1/2. Any help is appreciated.

    I wear camo utilitie pants at least once a weekend . I wear them as they are cheap, durable & if they get ruined I'm not going to lose any sleep over them. I sometimes have to gout in public wearing them as I need a part for a project that I'm working on.

    20 years ago there was 4 army/navy stores within an hours drive. Now if I need some mil-spec clothese or gear I have to go online. One opened up in the next county seat over but it closed up after a few months.
