To me there are 2 main reasons for this,
1. The top of the back is convex, becoming horizontal
If the top of the back was concave like this (became more vertical) it would more closely follow the neck
2. On the board racer, the collar is angled forwards. Therefore people with necks that...
Just put on this jacket and agree with what’s just been said. Here in the Uk it’s quite a bit warmer this week than last week and the jacket feels way more mobile.
One thing I’ve seen on parts the BR is brown popping through e.g. on the cuff. If this the teacore already starting to appear?
What I have learned from Fedora lounge and this post is the solutions get crazier and crazier ahah. Taking a bath in a leather jacket and rubbing a candle on the zipper are not things I would have ever expected to be done!
One more question, the main zipper on the jacket barely seems to work. It’s gets stuck on the same area. Can I send this to Aero to get this repaired? How much does this usually cost?
That’s surprising, I’ve seen quite a bit of it on this forum. Essentially when you wear it it feels like the weight of the jacket is ok your neck through the collar rather than your shoulders, so forces your neck forward
Sleeping in it is something I’ve read, might give it a try!
oh wow, taking a bath in it… would you say the break in is fine without the bath and just wear or the bath helps a lot?
Also I do live in the UK so fairly cold winters but I don’t really see myself wearing this at anything below 10 degrees Celsius / 50 Fahrenheit as the jacket is so slim I don’t think layering is an option
Makes a lot of sesnse, thanks! I was actually thinking of rolling the neck (possibly with water) to essentially the pressure there.
Not actually sagging haha, the nudie jeans I bought have really low back pockets which give it that impression
Just bought a used Aero Board Racer. This is my first non-mall leather jacket so what do you guys think, a keeper? (I believe it’s modified to make it longer than the average board racer but I don’t mind the length)
A few things I’ve noticed but heard this is fairly common for board racers /...
