The first pair I had retinted, as they were primarily white. They've taken on a great patina now that they're a couple years old. The 2nd pair was a single run of natural gator skin that Old Gringo made. Only one pair was made per size. I was fortunate enough to get the size 12.
Nice embroidered shirts! I have a couple of them as well. In my humble opinion, the finest western shirts are the Lyle Lovett shirts made by Hamilton. I have a few of them and they are really nice.

Here's one of the other boots I like wearing quite a bit, made for me by Old Gringo boots. Took over a year to get them, then I had to have them refinished as the color was a bit off for my taste. I think they turned out quite nice.
Thanks guys, They are incredibly comfortable, but the white stitching just doesn't work for me. I should have them back in ~ 5 weeks. Will post pictures of the final product.
That is the place I was going to send them to. I've been recommended to them by a couple people and they are a preferred resole place from my boot maker. Thanks!
I've been a wine enthusiast for many years. Whether it's a $9 bottle or $90 bottle. Some of my favorites include Meiomi, Pisoni, Silver Oak, Palmeyer, ZD, Justin, and Cask 23. Not much for French wines, as we have some fantastic wines that are made here in CA.
Did someone say... bourbon? I've been collecting for close to 20 years. Primarily tequila and bourbons, some cognacs as well. My personal collection. Hirsch, Lock Stock and Barrel, Pappy Van Winkle, to name a few...
Would you guys happen to know who can make me a snuff suede belt in 1 1/2" width? I have some desert boots from Alden as well as the Indie boots in snuff suede coming in that I'd love to get a belt made to match. Alden only makes a ~1 1/8" belt. I'd like something a little wider that will go...
Cowboy boots, riding boots, hunting boots, military, etc are acceptable. I, for one, don't quite get the knee high 'fashion' boots. At least not in the circle of friends I have. To each their own. :)
Manaus is a neat city to visit. We stay there for a day before headed out on a twin prop to Barcelos. We've not been back for a few years due to water levels, hopefully next fall the river cooperates with our time frame.
My avatar photo - I take my dad every other year fishing to the Rio Negro in Brazil, largest tributary of the Amazon River. We fly into Manaus from Miami and charter a small plane to the village of Barcelos, where we hop on a river boat for ~4 hours to the lodge we stay at that's literally been...
My goodness. I love this forum.
I'll be posting photos of our home at some point, it was built in the late 40's by a local congressman and restored in the early 80's. We also own a property that is adjacent to the local Mission that was built at the turn of the last century by the grandson of...
