There's no nicks close to me but I'll look them up. I know my Truman boot size and I can always get a waxed rough out w/ commando soles from them so I don't have to 2nd guess myself but I have plenty of service boots already. So those nicks loggers might be the way to go just so I can try a...
The veg tanned jacket would soak that much I get but would all veg tanned leather jacket shrink? I had that shrinking issue with the olive dyed German HH I got from JL.
Forgot to post this yesterday. FW Mulholland Vintage Brown. Love this jacket, if you guys know of anyone selling a vintage black size 36 pls let me know lol
Pretty cool collection you have going for you. The natty cxl sure does look like it will only get better with wear/time, I hope that turns out as well as it could be so good luck. I love me some HH and cow/steer and I dont really care much about goatskin but deerskin is such a joy to wear,
We are on the opposite side on the size recommendation. I actually went with Carrie's suggestion with the size 38 as she cautioned me the size 36 might be too uncomfortable. Guess it was a size too big at the end but that's okay, Agree, the shoulder width also help determine how the jacket will...
Yes, the no frills no extras and just let the leather and the construction/design speak for itself mindset is strong. I think that's why the classics are still so beloved to this day compared to some of the designs of today.
This is it! It definitely looks the part for what you want to use it...
Ouch, so true lol this is my phase "I'm just getting it out the way while I can still afford it now. I'm sure my finances will change when I invest in something big"
Plus that leather is just beautiful (I've been thinking about it since May of last year), its seal brown with reds showing under...
I haven't seen a black version of it as well. I do hope Aero offers it or someone really. It makes for a great pair of boots as well from what I've seen.
I should have went with my gut instead of going with the size recommended to me but now I know better. Yes, the shoulder seams are past my shoulders as it's almost 18" across (my ideal is between 17.25-17.5") but it doesn't look so big and it's also great to layer up with. It does make the V...
My jacket was a 38 with a pit to pit of almost 21.75, it was too relaxed for me. I had it altered at Johnson Leather to trim the chest/waist/bottom hem to get to a size 36. It fits so much better now, more trim. I also had a removable mouton collar placed just for added style. Still has plenty...
Love it, that's such a nice hide! Looks like it really has formed around your body already. The back photo is just a good indicator how this jacket well it has adjusted to your physique! What a perfect jacket
I'm getting one made from the seal brown Vermont JL have in stock so I'm also interested here. It's midweight 2-2.5 oz at the most so it will be very easy to wear, looks like it will crease/roll up a lot considering how the top coat has a little waxy feel to it.
