If it's of high value to you, then it would absolutely justify it. You could generally stretch one size up without disturbing the sweatband, depending on the condition. This will keep all elements of the hat original, except for the size of course. Otherwise, if you go the re-block route, then...

This is a vintage Carlson Panama fedora with a generous 3" brim. Size 7 1/4, head opening is 7 7/8" x 6 3/8". Hard to find a wide brim like this in a vintage straw. The details in the weave are very nice and the natural color is fantastic; beautiful hue. Not sure what the open crown height...
I'd prefer a stomach bug over strep right now. At least I can predict when the stomach bug will end. This actually started Friday night. Feels like I'm swallowing hot coals! Lost my voice, too. Thought I was doing well yesterday, but I guess it had me fooled.
