Thanks Stefan. I wonder if it's just a matter of wide ribbon being popular at the same time as back bows? I have narrower ribbon back bows that I think are the same age as the wide ribbon models.
Very nice. Should be panama weather here this afternoon, if it doesn't...
I'll go with Jim's take on a Wednesday. Resistol Caronia WAR Back bow.

Thanks Perry. Your J Lee was very nice.
Thanks Stefan. Been awhile since I found that one in the pile.
I gave it a good brush first.
Another great grouping.
I seem to have lost some quotes.
Thanks all,

Looks good Shangas. And I love that hand crank Singer. I've been meaning to make myself a robe, but I'm suffering from terminal laziness lately when it comes to sewing.
What fabric did you use to make it?
Keep up the good work,
Michael
I'm not seeing any wear on these, Peter. I can't say anything about it's wear history, but I'm pretty sure it dates to the early 50s and no wear is evident. I was worried it would be snag prone as it's loosely woven and the yarns are very low twist, but, knock on wood, it hasn't happened yet...
Thanks Doug. That's an old Bob Allen Sportswear knit Jacket/cardigan from when they were still making their stuff in Des Moines.
Thanks Steve. I think it's been four or five years that I've been taking daily clothes photos. I had a bit of built up burnout. Ha ha.
Thanks Edward. Yes, I...
Sorry for the worries Edward. I had a sudden bout of antisocial coupled with a tired of the heat, too lazy to take photos period. Ha ha. Now that it is cooler my mood has improved somewhat. That's the first time out for that shirt. It's a semi-vintage Woolrich that I picked up a month or so...

I was thinking, due to the stiffness of the crown, that this was some sort of plasti straw. I clipped of a short end from the inside today and burned it. Definitely cellulose...
Super style in the Supernatural. I've never seen one of those in person. Looks like a high quality hat. I do have a hat that is related in a way. The Saks 5th Ave panama. Gimbels owned Saks from about 1923 on.
Michael
Now that is a wide ribbon. Great jacket, too.
That was a find. What a great looking hat.
Thanks Bowen. I basically just ran warm water through the stains and then gave it about a minute or two worth of swishing around on a sink of warm water. As you might imagine, it was very pliable after...
