What Hat Are You Wearing Today 1?

Congrats on the little one! All I can imagine after seeing that picture is your baby wearing a tiny miniature version of the fedora you have on. If only I wasn't hopeless at photoshop.

Ebay Hats: Victories, Defeats, Gripes & Items of Interest

One of very few haha. I tried one of those autobidders and both times it didnt work. Its my own fault for going with a free service though. At this point I just figure if im unable to be there in person to snipe something, I probably wasnt meant to get it.

Wow what an awesome find. Great looking Knox!

    The Bowler or Derby Hat

Pictures don't do it nearly enough justice. It almost has a rust color as opposed to brown. It's a bit heavier being a riding derby, but the hunting pad is really comfortable. The Hunting pad looks like it was hand-sewn into the hat.

Thanks they had this one under a different listing than most Bowlers just like that awesome Stetson you won. I think it lessened the field of competition for it.

    The Bowler or Derby Hat

I know it almost reminded me of the batman symbol when I first saw it.

    The Bowler or Derby Hat

I didn't end up with this one, but the ribbon alone is worth highlight. First time i've seen ribbon work like this on a Bowler.

    German & Austrian Hutmachers

Great looking Melone. I wonder why wind trolleys weren't seen on Bowlers? It seems like a natural feature at least on the lightweight models that were being produced.

Thank you very much to both of you and in fact everyone who posts here. If it wasnt for seeing the absolutely stunning examples of Bowlers that have been posted here over the years I wouldn't have known that they're out there just waiting to be found and worn.

    Knox Twenty Homburg

Apart from apparently having been sat on, this looks to be in pretty good condition. http://www.ebay.com/itm/vtg-men-s-fedora-BROWN-HAT-size-7-KNox-NY-/330876184252?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item4d09c1e6bc

As soon as I saw both of those I knew there was no way that auction was ending under $200. Theres a seller with a handful of stetsons who describes himself as not being a Hat guru. I wonder how surprised he'll be when he ends selling like $600 in hats in 5 days.

    The Bowler or Derby Hat

I think you pull off a bowler just fine. I tend to wear them down on my head as you're inclined to, but back when bowlers/derbies were in fashion men were clearly wearing ones that in our eyes would be like 3 sizes too small. What great condition that's in too.

    The Bowler or Derby Hat

Great looking Mallory, i'm always amazed seeing these 80+ year old Bowlers in near flawless condition. Its crazy thinking about what other little gems might be hiding in peoples attics.

Thank you kindly, I saw that Stratton you posted earlier. That was in my watch list in the same time as this one but I slept through the end of the auction, as I'm in the habit of. I was happy to see it ended up with someone here and I at least got see some pictures of it looking great in the wild.
