    Aero Cafe Racer fit check

He told me he primarily used: 1. Renapur Leather Balsam 2. Dubbin (I suspect this may be the main ingredient that softens it) He also used a bit of Eastman Horse Balm (though supposedly not much). Hope this helps!

    Aero Cafe Racer fit check

Thanks! Agreed there is a bit of extra material in the upper back, though it does help with mobility. I guess this is why I like love action backs, best of both worlds!

    Aero Cafe Racer fit check

Here’s the back: It does look slightly big but not too much excess fabric I think? I know the exact neck issue you talk about but it is less noticeable on this jacket than my board racer

    Aero Cafe Racer fit check

Yep stays draping. Unlike my board racer which gets softer as it heats up, this is always soft! Will send him a message and try finding out

Indeed it feels nothing like what I would expect from CXL. To be honest I’m not entirely sure what oil he used. If you would find it useful I can ask him? Have attached a few more photos of the leather below. Definitely looks like chromexcel just smoother and slightly less shine.

    Schott 654H Trojan

Incredible jacket. Why does the Japanese market get the best schotts? Also strange that the 654 is a cafe racer but the 654H is a cross-zip

    Aero Cafe Racer fit check

Also quick side note from me, bought jackets are chromexcel but wow the cafe racer is so much softer. The owner said he ‘oiled the jacket regularly’ and I’m not sure if it was because of this, but it really does not feel stiff at all. Also quite a bit of teacore showing through, giving this...

    Aero Cafe Racer fit check

I feel like I have spammed this website every time I get a new jacket to get some fit feedback Anyway here’s some more spam: Just picked up this jacket used as the measurements seemed like a good fit to me. You guys weren’t lying about the drop on the cafe racer. Do you think this is a keeper...

Is this Schott a keeper? (+ mini review)

There definitely is a belt loop at the back, just hard to see as there’s no silver hardware on the loop, so I would just need the detachable belt fortunately

Is this Schott a keeper? (+ mini review)

I found the model online and it does indeed come with a belt (but a removable one) unlike some of the other perfectos

Is this Schott a keeper? (+ mini review)

I don’t live in the US, so I assume shipping would be quite a bit? May be worth a try nonetheless!

How many new jackets do you have coming (and how many potential ones)?

Or maybe I’m setting the trend… Jokes aside, all those celebs wearing their jackets look great, but the author’s vintage race jacket looks terrible on her (and I usually think it’s much easier for women to pull off a variety of silhouettes than men)

Indeed it is. I contacted the seller and he didn’t know where it was, oh well…

You can only wear one jacket for the rest of your life- do you go black or brown?

Though seems the brown supporters are a lot more vocal haha

You can only wear one jacket for the rest of your life- do you go black or brown?

Ah makes sense, I should have specified leather jacket, but it’s clear which way you would sway in the black vs brown debate!

You can only wear one jacket for the rest of your life- do you go black or brown?

I guess there's more nuance to my question than I thought. Would your answer differ if it was just 1 colour vs just 1 jacket?

What Jacket Are You Wearing Today?

Finally a bit warmer in London again so I can start wearing the leathers again. Schott Cafecto again for me (my either jackets are barely getting any wear compared to this one lol) Pairing it with some light-wash jeans which I don’t usually wear. I keep going back and forth between whether I...

I've seen this discussion before, but have yet to see a poll on this, so would be interesting to see the results
