Beautiful project!!
The biggest trouble about filmmaking is about the run time - in 35mm this can be expensive, as a "pro" gauge.
I would suggest to take a look in some tales by Chandler or Hammett, and find a simple story that would fit your cast and running time.
(I tried once with...
Some photos of a sequence that will be publicized.
My wife works in a museum. She and a few friends make a voluntary work bringing the museum to kids with cancer in hospitals. The most difficult (emotionally, I mean) "assigment" I ever did!
Worked slowly (5 rolls in 3 days). My idea was...
I saw this few weeks ago, it's really a little gem! A tense, well directed thriller.
Fleisher is the most irregular director i can remember; when he works well, he is just great. But when he goes wrong the results are horrible...
Shy or outgoing?
VERY shy. In fact, almost lived in my own world.
Active or a couch potato?
Couch... Specially when I started to read. Never liked sports.
What was your favorite toy?
A kind of lego, with bigger pieces.
What sports, if any, did you like to play?
None. Long time...
I will try to read him. This is the kind of guy we would call as a "purist", I think.
Better yet, I would like to know Br Blesh's personal discotheque with all his preferred records. All four records... (if he blames Ellington, and Armstrong after 1928, he wouldn't have much more to apreciate)
My great grandmother had one very similar, to make polenta too - and a similar story, brought from Italy too. An enormous amount of it and, for a while, almost everyday, as my grandfather used to tell.
Is the guy a Groucho Marx fan? Absolutely nonsense!
In the same way he could ask too: "Do you really like coffee? Does that mean you are a philosopher?" and so on.
The comments of certain critics are terrible in this way you put. I always remember some comments by Leonard Feather about Glenn Miller... I really don't know how Feather stayed writing musical critics!
As today jazz is something "cool", "refinate", there are a lot of critcs - but most of...
A brazilian playwriter, Nelson Rodrigues, wrote that "a 18 years old boy doesn't know ever how to say "good morning" to a lady. He will need some more years to learn this - and the rest". Imagine somebody 13/15 y.o.!
The problem is if they would be still laughing about everything a little...
Danny,
Agree with you!
By the way, I don't like this kind of restaurant... I prefer some traditional, downtown restaurants.
But by the sucess of some places here (like the one I wrote about), I think I'm the minority. The power of newly rich people, as a friend says? I don't know. But...
You are absolutely right here! Any true musician can say "I got the most of myself, I'm happy to stay here". If so happens, the art of improvisation would be lost. The musician writes his parts and play them all life long.
Of course a lot of orchestras and players in swing era were bad. Once...
