Very nice! I like that spur shelf. Never had hippos or a spur shelf boot.
I like your user name too. The late Merle Haggard said, hey, leather boots are still in style for manly footwear.
The TL smooth quills on the feet. Don’t mind the dirty truck. There’s a German Shepherd Dog that likes to go for rides. I’ll clean it this weekend….maybe….
Thank you! Underneath all the dirt, grime, and dust; they were in fantastic shape. Another seller has the exact same boots; same style# and he is asking 129. I feel like I got a bargain.
Some new to me Tony Lama’s. $40 on fleabay and looked pretty rough. Some saddle soap, Bick 4, and a neutral cream polish and these babies are right as rain! Also donning a vintage Resistol Herdsman.
This has been an interesting thread! I have thoroughly enjoyed seeing these old vintage photos and reading about memories of grandparents and relatives who wore this attire regularly. I have a pair of brown carhartts that have never fit me proper because I didn’t size up. I clearly remember...
My most recent boot acquisition is a pair of Tony Lama birds in a nice black cherry. The photos don't quite do them justice. The style # appears to be B 3412. I can't find any info on them but I like them regardless. Maybe someone here can help.
I love that ol' fence post about as much as the hats! I see Brent's hats on eBay from time to time and when I see that fence post, I'm like "yep, Brent's clearing out room for new hats!"
I had initially ordered it in the pewter gray, similar to yours, with an ash ribbon. I flip flopped on Mr. P a handful of times, via email and pictures, before I settled on the colors you see.
