Hitler wore a fedora, so what.......so did allot of good people including my grandfather who survived 8 concentration death camps including over three years in Auschwitz. He still loves fedoras. I am 100% positive that there were many wonderful and great people who wore homburgs then as well.

In terms of renovating a hat, I have personally never seen a hatter make miracles happen that I thought were impossible to fix like Mr White fixed. ;) That is only my personal experience.:)

I never lived in Cincy but I did order hats from Gus Miller. Mr. Miller makes a hat that has the Aura of a hat from the Golden Era that I have never seen any hatter be able to reproduce. The only modern hats that you would swear were no later than the early 50's.

Simply a beautiful hat and color! It is just much lighter than what I'm looking for. Do you have anything in that style and tint in a medium or at least darker Grey?
Different styles of top hats were worn at different periods. The standard height of a proper topper is 6 1/4 inches but can be a little shorter or taller. If you feel natural in a topper and have the right ensemble to wear it with, wear it as you please. You have one life, live it in style.
