I was watching Quick and the Dead the other day and found myself cringing not from Sharon Stones acting but from seeing a bunch of vintage bowlers that had been intentionally aged to give them "character".
Very strange but fun bowler that dates to the late twenties early thirties. Custom made by a Neale Thorsen Costume and Hair study in Tacoma, Washingtohn. More than likely produced for a stage show.
Three little maids from school are we! Lovely Mikado.
I went for something decidedly weirder. Saw this very old looking bowler that looks to have been part of a stage show, couldnt pass on something so unique.

Someone scored a beauty of a hat there.
He wore a varied assortment of crown shapes, but the grey and brown one pictured above are either Herbert Johnson or another retailer, but were made by the same company that produced bowlers for several big name stores.
