We tried it a while back but couldn’t get into it. If I remember correctly, it was the voice dubbing that was distracting. Maybe it is time for another try.

The Set-Up on TCM. Another gritty flick with nice exterior footage of life circa 1948. It stars Robert Ryan and Audrey Trotter. Like Hayden, I wasn’t a big fan of Ryan when I was a youngster, but now if he is in it, I give it a chance.

Saw that one as well, it is much better than Crime Wave. A few years back I became a Sterling Hayden fan and hence a fan of Asphalt Jungle and Crime Wave. :D
Crime Wave again on TCM’s Noir Alley. It was on earlier in the week during a run of Sterling Hayden flicks. Nowhere near his best, it is entertaining enough more for the exterior shots of the world circa 1954. It’s neat to see a ripped and young Charles Bronson. It is worth a watch despite...
Night and the City. Great introduction to movie with Richard Widmark running through London circa 1950. It is a lot of fun to watch especially because of the black and white exterior shots throughout. It is a movie that I have seen many times, but find it entertaining each time.

A couple of weeks back, The Reverend Horton Heat, The Paladins, Deke Dickerson, and The Buttertones. A great lineup and show. I ran on adrenaline at work the next day.

Chicken Parmigiana, garlic red mashed potatoes, freshly made bread, a dinner salad with garlic ranch dressing, and a couple of the best Bloody Marys around. It was a great dinner at a great restaurant with the Great and Lovely Lady ToE.
:D
People who drive with pets sitting in the middle of their lap. I saw some fellow struggling to negotiate a left turn the other day. He had a midsized dog sitting square in the middle of his lap and had one arm wrapped around the dog. The fact that he was blatantly running a red light and did...
