Yes, they normally come embroidered as you have pictured. Yours is a late 50s model to be sure but they were all decent hats. Dobbs and Cavanagh are some of my favorites. A BBQ pit is something else entirely. However, you can BBQ in a hooded grill with minimal effort as long as you keep the temperature low and use the same thing you use for a pit. It is all about the smoke.- jamespowers
