    I went to Byrnie Utz in Seattle today (had to buy a few more hats from them before their store closes). I found a few goodies. One being a Dobbs straw now that summer has officially hit the Pacific Northwest.

    a sad day

    I was very sad to hear this news. I have frequented Byrnie Utz several times over the past six years or so. My friends got me a gift certificate to their store. I'll be stopping by there shortly to give them my business at least one more time. I do hope they find a new buyer to keep the store open.

    So trivial, yet it really ticks you off.

    I've been dealing with that for over a year. It's really frustrating. Went to my primary care doctor months ago, and they told me they couldn't do anything. I'm using a cream I found online now, which actually seems to be helping, but the PR is REALLY stubborn.

    I have some Irish heritage, although I'm mostly English. I'm not aware of any darker skinned Irish in my heritage, although it is possible.

    What do you do for Living?

    I come from a criminology and investigations background. I currently work in the social services field. I just transferred to Adult Protective Services investigations after five years of Child Protective Services. It is certainly interesting work, and different each day.
