But this is my point. All news is Fox News in its own special way. Nothing should be discarded or trusted simply because of the source...even if it's from the Daily Mail. Were people sold on the idea that "their" news was The Truth and dismissive and boorish in their debates?
I've noticed if someone mentions Fox News as a source of information in an online chat, that person is quickly pounced upon and the information dismissed without question. I'm now seeing people assuming that if they disagree with someone, that that person is getting their data from Fox News...
When I post to the PR I am looking for female input. I don't see it as punishment to have a place for girl talk. I wish it was this way from the start. No peeking guys implies no posting
Can the Lounge send a message to all members to bring this to their attention? Many people who don't visit on a regular basis may be unaware of the poll.
It's very respectful of you to ask us to vote, but we are all guests here. Based upon the fact that to continue to allow men to post in the PR means excessive moderating on your end, and you have been doing this on a volunteer basis for many years, I think that is reason enough to make it FL...
Thanks, Lizzie!!
My house (built in 1952) has an antenna on the rooftop, but it must be some or all of the things you stated, one of which I'm certain is neighboring smart meters. However, most of my a.m. radios are battery operated, so that would, I assume, rule out the noise coming from the...
I want to improve my a.m. radio reception and am seeking advice on purchasing a new antenna (do you own one? Is it effective?) as well as how to improve the signal in my home. I figured this would be a great place to ask!
We don't have people under surveillance 24-7. Most crimes, whether of the soul or law, are not committed for all to see. You can't judge someone's soul and heart based upon a viral video or few conversations. (Not talking about Alec)
Not all characters have bad character. Not all well-mannered people are well intentioned. Not all nice people are kind. I know rough-around-the-edges people who are golden, and highly regarded, smooth talking people who lack a conscience.
I grew up in 70s-80s NYC and my friends and I stated this often then and I still sometimes do. However I don't preface insults with it. I think the saying got bastardized over the years.
My point in posting this wasn't for Alec Baldwin but that some of what he stated resonated as true with me. I know it was probably a bad idea given that it's his words and so many hate him. I should have just started a thread on our culture that continues to invade our privacy and the sometimes...
I agree with you.
It's one thing to hate what someone says, and voice our displeasure/disapproval online. It's quite another to make a sport of virtual group lynchings and wishing death and destruction upon someone. Using bullying to end bullying can't work.
