This will probably fit me okay but it will be too much on the upper torso (it will also be expensive to get it altered plus a shame to do so) but I think these proportions will look great on @TG3 he has broader chest/shoulder and taller than I am
That's a great score, plus the fact you can wax your own boot is a fun little project. I haven't seen that new Truman leather offering, I'll look them up. I doubt that 7oz'er will ever be tested that much for what I normally do lol
Good luck with the engineer venture! Hope you get something...
Thank you. I had the detachable shearling collar added (not done by Aero, it's made by Johnson Leather of San Francisco) for fun lol I've seen jackets here with a detachable collar and I just copied them really. It's a nice touch, I'm so happy I had it added. This is how it looked before...
Definitely your colorway. That's a nice shade for a rough out. Too bad about how the last not being very well made, the shape of toe box look really nice.
im most likely getting a waxed rough out sometime this year dedicated for outdoors use
@dlite90 thats true, I don't mind deleting the chest pocket on mine. This is a super trim fit Bootlegger made from tobacco badalassi. Good luck with your order
I've been thinking if I cant get a proper shearling jacket because its too warm where I am then maybe I can probably try the shearling vest route just to try it out haha
I noticed the earth tones you wear a lot, you dress yourself very well and have a great knack of mixing/matching different shades so hats off to you.
That's a great perspective to have, I don't have a leather boot or jacket intended for that purpose. It's probably something worth looking into...
I'm sure he will make you a wonderful piece and so tailored to you. He is a great craftsman and is a very kind and thoughtful person. You are in great hands.
Just in time, you would get your jacket before the Fall and get to break it in during a great time of the year! Very exciting!
Thanks for that smart recommendation. I never would have thought that a small cuff would do the trick, the zippers will need to be replaced to lengthen them as well. I don't really mind if the hides are not matched 100%, it will just add character and story to the build lol but a resleeve is...
I did! It will be made from washed/waxed black cowhide as I don't have enough chest hair for that look yet. Plus it's too hot here to get a proper grizzly or shearling jacket. So my compromise was to have a detachable shearling collar.
Thank you! Can't wait to see what you and Greg come up with!
It's definitely a little tight around the shoulder but it's fine as I only wear a tshirt with this jacket. I've seen what you mean but I think that looks fine and maybe it will look better once the leather relaxes and shapes to you...
Same here, read and read incognito before finally joining the community! You made a great choice for a classic jacket in a desirable leather. Great fit as well and it will get even better with wear! Job well done
I feel the same way. I'm sure the leather intended for jackets use is thinner, probably between 2.5- 3 oz. I'll confirm that number with Aero and get back to you.
If I remember correctly Junkard mentioned to me the hide they used for boots is about 5-6oz.
I've seen that cognac boots and it...
Love love love items made from badalasi. I have two monkey boots with olive black overdye and Tobacco brown. I also have the Tobacco Aero Bootlegger. I want to get another badalassi jacket actually lol So yes I'm a big fan of it.
The Tobacco monkey boots is smooth grained, hand feel is medium...
True, I'll most likely do the same as it's just a little flex for what it's worth haha
Got it, nice to know that can be done. It's my first foray with selvage denim so still treading water with it.
Generous 34 or True 36 or slim 38 for sizing. Sweet spot would be between 19.75-20.25 chest...
