PennyCarrol... Thank you very much! Its not a vintage sweater at all... I've had it for awhile now. I just finally put it to use since I hardly wear it. :) Heehe I am glad that I inspired you to wear red! Just remember, I am a fake red! I am already back to being a blonde. :)
BigMan... Awww...
Hemingway... Hehehe Thanks. :) I thought I did quite well. That is my "pretend to dance" pose. :p
D'OH... Sucks to be you, I guess. I totally rock the hotness that is Ann-Margret. There ain't no denyin'! Hahahaha
Nashoba... I am happy to say that the red washed out 99%!! :) I say 99%...
Happy Halloween
From "Ann-Margret" and her dirty bathroom mirror!!
Pink and I are about to go out and listen to a friend of mine play! I decided to go as Ann-Margret from Viva Las Vegas. How did I do??
I will shoot the first person who tells me not to go back to blonde or anything close...
Brooksie... Your socks are wonderful!
James Powers... You let me know how well that capitalization works for ya. :p
Nashoba... If only that were true. I am just one big goof!
Miss Brill... I do hope it works for you. I can't say how it works for thickness, because I already have more...
Antje... Thank you very much. I wanted to get material more close to the original (blue with white polka dots), but when I saw the strawberries with the criss cross country design, I knew I had to get that material!
PennyCarrol... Thank you! :) My curls actually fell flat from all the spinny...
Patrick1987... Heels and the Funhouse. The love story of a young travelling carnie and the hometown socialite. I can see it now!
Brooksie... Thank you... I was just about to yell, Take that $%$$^# picture!! Thank goodness it flashed before I said anything! Hehehe
Carter... Thank you. I...
Goldleaf... Thank you so much! I am not much of a seamstress, so I was quite happy with the way this turned out! Although I have to fix a couple of things. :)
SarahLouise... I don't really know how to sew either! I just make it up as I go! Hehehehe I actually used 3 different vintage patterns...
Fun at the AZ State Fair.
Please note that heels and the funhouse don't usually mix, but it CAN be done!!! I wish I didn't have my glasses on in this photo, but walking backwards in heels in the barrel roll waiting for the photo to be taking = one goofy photo! Hahahaha lol :p
I just finished this outfit in time to wear to the State Fair today!
Based on a 1941 wrap dress from Mongomery Ward, I made this two piece blouse and skirt combo. The skirt is twisted a bit... normally the buttons are centered, so forgive that part. :)
The original.
My version.
Beautiful! I am in the process of mocking up a corset using 3 patterns over laying each other. (I know, what was I thinking) I can only hope that mine turnes out half as nicely as yours!
It was the end of the day and not too hot. The sun was setting so we had to make it quick!
Scarey thing happened though... in the middle of nowhere and we were about to leave when my poor car wouldn't start! Ey! Thank goodness after about 10 mins, it finally started up! phew!
Ah, but don't forget my dear friend... it was your hats that had me come up to you and D'OH the first time we met. As I recall, I think I frightened the pants off you two. lol
