    Another set of fantastic hats by Mike. I'm a big fan, so much so I've ordered another hat from him. This time I'm going for a hat inspired by the hat Johnny Depp wore in 'Public Enemies'. The black cherry one. Hopefully it should be with me sometime in the new year.

    I'd be very hesitant to steam a wool hat. I had a nutria felt hat that had a very floppy pinch caused by me grabbing it too often and too roughly. I sprayed it with isopropyl alcohol, shaped it, and let it dry. It has firmed up nicely. I'm not sure how long it will last but so far so good. Greg

    Literally hundreds, as on the way to a meeting I popped into Bates hat shop on Jermyn Street, London. I did see six fedoras and trilbies at various points in my journey. One particularly nice black fur felt fedora at Waterloo on the Waterloo and City platform. All in all not a bad hat day!
