Another set of fantastic hats by Mike.
I'm a big fan, so much so I've ordered another hat from him. This time I'm going for a hat inspired by the hat Johnny Depp wore in 'Public Enemies'. The black cherry one. Hopefully it should be with me sometime in the new year.
I'd be very hesitant to steam a wool hat.
I had a nutria felt hat that had a very floppy pinch caused by me grabbing it too often and too roughly. I sprayed it with isopropyl alcohol, shaped it, and let it dry. It has firmed up nicely. I'm not sure how long it will last but so far so good.

>>No, the one John Galt cleaned for me is another Stagecoach with smaller crown, smaller brim and narrower ribbon.
I'm guessing that 'smaller' brim is all relative Joao!
It's a light weight felt, with a vintage feel, that enables a sharp crease. I posted a number of photographs of this hat in the VS thread around December last year (the hat was a Christmas present).
Out of interest where did you get your hat? I love the vintage lines but am not familiar with...
Literally hundreds, as on the way to a meeting I popped into Bates hat shop on Jermyn Street, London.
I did see six fedoras and trilbies at various points in my journey. One particularly nice black fur felt fedora at Waterloo on the Waterloo and City platform. All in all not a bad hat day!
'Hard' at work. No really I am.
Some great hats over the last few days. Greg did you wear your orange topper in the rain - appears to have tapered quite badly!
NW Hats
I must admit to be drawn to 40's diamond creased hats. The typical 'noir' look, but Joshbru those are some lovely hats. Oh dear I may have to get one like that as well now!
From memory so I may be way off, but weren't there some hats with tall crowns and short brims in the film 'Scar face'...
As an example of how well Art's hats fit, I was out walking today wearing my black cherry when all of a sudden there was an extremely strong gust of wind. The brim on my hat went crazy flapping up and down and yet my hat did not budge. And what's incredible is that in no way is the hat what you...
Great hats everyone. DJH you have a great selection to choose from. I don't think I've seen one hat I do not like.
It's gloomy here today so decided to cheer myself with my VS Black Cherry.
