Best I can measure, the INSIDE diameter of the zipped sleeve end is 9-9 1/4". The flap in the sleeve has never been an issue. It's actually how most of the BUCOs and other vintage jacket sleeves were made. IT actually cuts down on the bunching up of the folded full gussets. As for the snaps...- Fiver64

Very clean WILLIS & GEIGER M-444 sheepskin jacket in roomy size 44. Even considering the thickness of the fleece (about 3/8” avg) it fits up to a comfortable 46, but please go by my measurements.
