When it's straight it is a sleek A line bob. This was a wet set on soft rollers overnight. Two weeks later update---I did this set two weeks in a row and got six days of hairdos out of it before I washed it! What a time saver!
It has been years probably since I posted, so some updates..here is my Sweet Caroline (19) who is a swing dance instructor and loves vintage attire.
And dear Miss Emily (22) my almost nurse.
This new photo posting format is throwing me off, but you get the idea.
So sorry to hear of John's passing. I met him twice on the Queen Mary and enjoyed his pen seminar. A great loss of a lovely gentleman.
Condolences to family.
I understand the perception that the show was hit and miss but I think they are setting the scene for many things to come. It seems to me that is how they have done it in the past...a slow episode and the next one POW. So I for one will be watching for the POW in the next two weeks.
I think...
I have a friend in Bremerton, WA who is a master gardner and she had chickens for four years up until she decided she really was ready to travel again. The very broodie hen went to a neighbor as she loves love to egg sit and the other older ones had pretty much stopped producing eggs so they...
Dixon you look much better in your uniform than our guy that does some air Captain (whose names escapes me just now). They have quite a large costume room of uniforms that I have looked through but I don't know enough about military attire to know if there is any fabulous finds in there.
This particular month I missed because I totally spaced that The first Thurs. was also 11/1. I made it the other 11 months and will be there in the future. She is so cute, that phrase cracks me up, I remember Emily saying that.
I want to PM you Babydoll but your box is full.
The Museum of Flight has a pretty neat living history department as well. Throughout the month they have different folks come in, dress a character and give mini history lessons. They have an actor that does WWI & II nurses as well as Jackie O on Air Force One (Alice), a WASP pilot (Diane) and...
I love hearing about that cat. My cat used to be a great hunter, he is only 4 and a lovely tuxedo cat who looks just like Henri of youtube fame, but is has sort of turned into a fat lard who only wants to chase roasting marshmellows around the house.
If anything turns up to go to...I expect I will just dress as Rosie the Riveter, however I do loathe wearing the work boots so additional consideration required.
I went this past weekend. It is an impressive collection.
My daughter made the acquaintance of the director just before the opening at a costume shop who gave her a business card. I just sent her a note suggesting we start a Living History program at the museum so we'll see what fun comes of...
I like Megan too. She is a bit younger than Peggy and seemed (she is a total mess now) to have a bit of a feminist, assertive yet fun young woman attitude just barely emerging in the late 60s. She seemed so much more confident than Peggy when Peggy first started. I think Peggy will be a huge...
