As by subject. I would like a reasonably robust hat to be worn outdoor, of rabbit (or better!) felt, that is soft. I have an Akubra Banjo Patterson, which I love, but I would consider it way too stiff in terns of softness... I'm after something far more pliable, though not wool. -

Well I spend a good amount of time in Northern Italy where it is hot and humid but it does rain hard in summer (and when it does and one is hiking caring for the hat is not as much as a concern as lighting strike...). -

From Akubra to Josey Wales
I do not mind curling the brim myself, and I was thinking of a somewhat smaller hat to start with. Also I'd rather not have eyelets to the side, though I can live with it.
