The French Cancan 'Hunter:' 1920s shawl-collar leather with a Gallic twist...

Sort of a cross between an Aeromarine/Heron/Cossack and a Mackinaw cruiser. I like it a lot. Thoughts?
Meanwhile I'm not sold on the Aero blue leather. It does look a bit 'fashion,' as my kids would say. For some reason the Mushmans looked more real, somehow (though neither one are for me). I used to have a blue Brimaco jacket which I liked but it just wasn't versatile enough.
I'm also hoping that Mark will do more M1941s. I think Bretron's jacket is amazing - the details are unbelievable - but I just can't pull off the lancer/Perfecto front any more, if I ever could, so I'm not even going to entertain the slightest bit of envy. Not the slightest bit, I tell you...;)
I expect you've seen this already - http://www.thefedoralounge.com/showthread.php?72414-Lengthening-the-Arms-and-Tapering-a-Classic-Vanson - but there's a solution to your problem which doesn't require surgery (for you:eeek:).
Re shrinkage in the tub: I remember my mother (a hipster in her day) telling me that people she knew used to sit in the bath with their new jeans to shrink them in the early 50s or even earlier - got the impression that her generation learned about the finer points of denim from GIs posted over...
Seconded.
But, damn: f I hadn't just insulated my roof (after the longest, coldest winter for 50 years) I would be all over that Menlo. Prioritising heat and comfort over fashion... will I never learn?
The gingham is nice but the distressing is insane! If I wanted a jacket that looked as if a large, wet dog had been sleeping on it for two years I'd... well, I've probably got a couple of those lying around, come to think of it. And I once left a fairly new Abercrombie & Fitch canvas duck work...
Brothel creepers are badass, with leathers or without! I used to more or less live in Robot shoes, preferably black suede with pink piping... Edward's right: I think if you scratch most of the UK vintage jacket/boots/selvedge obsessives these days, you'll find an old punk, or a mod, or even a...
I'm not sure... the welt's disintegrating and it's beyond the capabilities of my local cobbler. They should in theory last longer but they've been worn very hard. I haven't thrown them away yet, though!
Currently my trusty Trickers Grassmeres. My favourite Red Wing Chelsea boots just gave up the ghost after about 6 years of hard use and will be replaced - fantastic things, and overall a better buy than RM Williams, possibly, though I always used to wear RMW Gardners before the Red Wings. Have...
