A few days ago on this same thread I posted some rambling self righteous comments directed to a fellow lounge member that were completely uncalled for and out of line. I was wrong for doing so and knew it from the moment I pushed “post”. In a moment of stupidity I was not only rude and...
Before I sign off from the Lounge I would like to see this one go to the “right” home. It measures out as a size 7. Its hard for me to get good photos of a black hat. It’s in remarkably great condition for its age, the liner is very impressive, unreeded sweat still pliable but missing a few...
I found the Lounge years ago while researching vintage fedoras. I have a love and affection for most all vintage not just hats. Cars, motorcycles, coats, suits, ties...I only joined awhile back when Buler was having a hat sale but alas arrived too late. I’m petty much a silent observer very...

Thank you for the information. I’m amazed at the vast resourceful amount of knowledge you have with these German-Austrian hats. It is a very well made quality velour fedora that I look forward to wearing when it cools down a bit more here in AZ
A recent arrival to AZ, seller purchased in Switzerland in 1958. It’s a fairly nice clean black velour with 2 3/8 raw edge brim. Hopefully @mayserwegener or others can shed some light on its origins.
Well ‘‘twas just a thought for whatever it may or may not be worth. I tend to be a fan of most any good, humble, hard working underdog. I’m willing to give them a chance and the benefit of the doubt. Evidently messages can be missed or overlooked, I sent you one in June about your blue Portis...
I’m going to put in a plug for Ralph Loo in Ohio he’s @Anubis here on the lounge. I sent him some beater hats awhile back. One was a dirty beat up Dobbs Hankerchif with a dime size hole in the brim. When he was done with it he had cleaned, blocked, resized and the hole was completely...
