Thanks moon. I first tried your bash, but I'll have to work my way up to having such a high front. Haha.
Tear drop for now.

Thanks Zombie and Mike. I just put a little padding in it and I'm off to work.
I know it's somewhere in the Lounge, but can't find it readily. What is the consensus on the hat touching the top of your ears? I'd have to pad it more to keep it from touching my ears. But it doesn't press...
Yes it does makes a big difference. This hat will actually shield the sun from my eyes a lot better!!!! Such a cool hat!!!!
Now I want another! Hahaha

Here's after a bit of steam. I figure I'll wear it this way for a week or two then fine tune the bash. Do a little break in time. Haha

Thanks Mike. I just needed it on the sides. I'm a LO. I might put some in the sides of my Newer model Stetson OR. That hat has no give in it. Hahah

Thanks y'all!!! I appreciate it!!!
I put some steam on it and formed it up a little better.
I'll put some foam in it and wear it for a few weeks like that and see what happens.
Do you put the foam that came with it under the sweat? Or use the sticky on the outside of the sweat?
I would...
My Campdraft arrived today from the Hattery!!!! 8 days!!!
My Burnstain Bear hat!! Ha
It's pretty big sized, but most say it'll shrink up on here. Might try distilled water on the sweat and a hair dryer to help it along!
My first ever dry bash attempt. The hat is very soft!!! No problems at...
So I've got a really big newb question. This answer is on here already, but would like clarification.
You brush the top of the hat counter-clockwise. And I've read on here you brush the underside Clockwise.
But I watch a video where a hat maker brushes both sides counter-clockwise.
So...
Wow!!!! Great thread. I watched all the videos about 10x's each. Haha.
My new Canpdraft is on the way and I think I'll video my first time ever bashing a hat on here. Just for kicks, plus for help on how to fix my mistakes. :)
Thanks for all the info.
Oh, do y'all have any suggestions...
That would be a cool list to know. Only one I know are like Stetson 100 and 25. That's the rating of the X's on it I think! I'm new here too. Haha. But it would be nice to know what models were the top of the line back then.
I'm really interested in the Dobbs too.

Thanks Zombie. Your pics have helped me a lot on my decision of which Campdraft to order first! Taupe Fawn!
Seems like that color will be a good work hat and want show as much dirt and such on it. Plus she said it'll be coming with the taupe colored satin lining.
If it is as good as y'all...
This is my cap I wear to work. I used to get odd looks because no Engineer in the freight business wears them anymore. One of my favorite caps!!!
