Do you guys wear leather jackets at home?

Will old leather stretch
50 year old stitching might or might not hold up to an aggressive stretching procedure. Dryish leather can shred too if pulled too hard. I would move the jacket on and get something that fits properly. My experience has been that you will get less than 1/2 a size even with an involved stretching...- Flying Monkey

Agreed, I have seen several similar, if not the same, jackets on ebay. Never a mfg tag left. Looks like a heavy, reasonably decent quality Pakistani copy of a Branded Garments to me.- Flying Monkey

Label just reads "Made of genuine steerhide" and has a steer's head right in the middle. No tags in the pockets, no hang chain like Fidelity, wrong stitching on the lining for Fidelity too. Wearing a Vanson CHP with belt or without
If you tend to wear your jacket zipped up most of the time, I think the belt finishes the look, as you pointed out. What do you know about Champlain leathers?
I have two Champlain jackets and they are among my favorites, very comfortable. If you buy one online, get the measurements first to be on the safe side as their tag sizes can be kinda goofy.- Flying Monkey

What is your cleaning procedure for a “new” secondhand jacket?
I use a solution of about 1/3 white vinegar and 2/3 water in a bowl. Take a clean cotton rag like an old white t shirt and wipe the jacket down with it using liberal amounts of the mix but do not soak.
