Thank you everyone for the good words, this was actually hat #5 and I am feeling really good about the future guys. More blocks on the way but I do not have a time line on that yet.....but I did pick up a 7-1/8 #59 block with matched flange in 2-5/8 and a 7-1/4 #51 block with a 2-3/4...
I will be working toward other sizes in the not so distant future.....And certainly other than Beaver, for certain!!
I was away over the weekend, I scored a nice amount of very old vintage Grosgrain.....full bolts. I have now aquired 65 rolls, only a few are exact duplicates in color, sizes...
Mike, I was meaning in regards to the stiffness, soft was the wrong choice of words.
The staple hare is not as stiff.

Monte, so far each of the hats I made were 100% beaver, that felt is somewhat stiffer yes....but I did dry crease those hats with ease. The hat I posted for History Teacher is a staple Hare body, definitly softer,like some of my old lids, but again, dry creased in that photo, it shaped so easily.
Yes, I just pinned the ribbon work in place for the couple quick photos of my Idea for Matt's approval; the hat has been stripped back down and I am doing finish work on it. Thanks for the compliments!!
