    The Stratoliner Association {Premiere}

    Silverbelly Premiere Strat delivered last night, so not 6 weeks, just about 3. This is some lightweight felt. Sweat does not say Royal Deluxe, just Premiere Stratoliner is a cursive script with Stetson crest. Crown holds dry crease of center dent with a front pinch well. Brim snaps down all...

    The Resistol Roundup

    Nice one Rick! Hazard a guess that was Resistol's answer to Stetson's 7X CB/50. Typical B&R style to be a notch above hence the 10 X's

    I wear felt fedoras with t-shirts & jeans all the way to tuxedo. Lots of mine are thin ribbons which are "country" hats but do have some mid-ribbons that I consider "city" hats. I also have outback & western hats but no derbies/bowlers, homburgs, or top hats. I even wear some vented...

    Leather jackets on TV shows - Goat or Lamb?

    Ori Pfiffer plays the Israeli detective in Dig. Not a good shot of him in the jacket but in episode I watched he actually zipped it up... http://www.imdb.com/media/rm2303783424/tt3597606?ref_=ttmi_mi_all_sf_21

    Cowboy Boots

    I resisted the square toe look for years. The Cutting & Reining show circuit went there quite a while ago. I was a dyed in the wool Justin Roper wearer for years then went to Ariat Hexcel Pro Ropers for all of my Reining horse show career, roughly 1989 to 1999. Wore medium/semi round toe up to...

    Help with {date or identify} a hat please.....!

    I use steam but for major shaping, I just spray distilled water, crease it, let it dry, then steam it to set the crease. The steaming will reactivate the shellac. Hope that helps....

    I have given hats to key folks in my life, not really for any specific occasion except maybe their birthday... Have quite a few Loungers that have bought hats to commemorate the birth of a child, so giving one seems like a good & generous gesture.

    Help with {date or identify} a hat please.....!

    Most telescope westerns I see now are "gambler" style = like Stevie Ray Vaugh & Ronnie Van Zant. You can luck into an old open crown western on ebay that you can easily crease to a telescope. Or just see if a western store will get an open crown western

    Leather jackets on TV shows - Goat or Lamb?

    Tim Allen on Last Man Standing has worn a nice leather jacket but sitcom is set in Denver suburb. Tim's looks like a Aero style. Yep, character in Chicago PD does have padded shoulder jacket. Other character has a leather "Members Only" looking jacket.

    Very 1960's looking. Check out Miller catalogs for that period. Pecos model looks close http://www.thefedoralounge.com/showthread.php?52929-Miller-Stockman-Catalogs&p=1896472&viewfull=1#post1896472
