Thanks man. I think being able to adjust the waist will be more practical than cinching the bottom opening (which is cut very slim, anyway). I’m just having second thoughts, seeing the buckles up high.

Moving the buckles up from the bottom to waist level was a last minute decision that I’m starting to question.
You got it! I figured most folks here would recognise the shop floor. It’s The Jin Special with a few tweaks. I actually spec’ed a single pull zipper, so they will be changing that out before shipping it to me tomorrow.
I’ve owned several Barbour waxed jackets.
It’s a good fabric for an outdoor rain jacket. I don’t know why you would want to wear waxed cotton if it wasn’t raining. Good for the farm, not so much the city.
Really, modern Teflon type fabrics are more practical and don’t need rewaxing every few...
