    Biker jacket cleaning

The jacket looks great. FC leather is solid. I have one of their nice biker vest. The leather is a favorite of my biker friends in Mexico because of the thickness pliability. I personally like to use a shoe brush prior to introduce water to the leather. Water is not the worst and some...

What Jacket Are You Wearing Today?

I do remember seeing the Herc with "pipping" finishing D pocket in red lining. The older ones had the nicer front reinforcement and thinner belt loops. If I remember correctly, Dale Walksler also was wearing one during my visit to his museum. I was wearing my wool lined cycle king. He...

What Jacket Are You Wearing Today?

Two very similar jackets. The pocket flaps are definitely different. The collar snaps are in different locations. Additionally, the shoulders do not look as wide as the Herc models. Lastly, look at the size of D pocket. The Hercs and black lining Oakbrooks are huge.

1979 Pomona meet. Californian Cape Skin in perfect condition. I did not have any money to buy it with. Several years ago, I saw the very same jacket in an Instagram image. To this moment I have not seen anything like it. A friend of ours from Riverside allowed me to get an awesome jacket...

Rare 1952? Oakbrook D-Pocket Jacket on eBay. Heavy Duty Leather. Only one I've seen.

I have both the Oakbrook and the Hercules. They look much the same however, the Hercules is just so much thicker hide. The Oakbrook weights about 5 with collar no belt. The Hercules weights a little more. I believe that they both were made around the same time due to construction methods...

    Made In USA?

I see that modern day sweat shop. Workers should get paid the same as the local workers. I heard that some foreign work forces are in fact N. Koreans. N. Koreans are sending more and more workers all over the world.

Vintage Beck Northeaster Horsehide jacket care and dating

Got to love the Beck's! Get your self a very nice and big horsehair shoe brush. Brush it nice. You will be surprise how much dirt it truly removed by brushing. After is very clean see how the leather behaves with saddle soap. If the leather does not get hard, Do a light saddle soap clean...

    To alter or sell?

The jacket is very nice but it will be costly to do alterations. Personally, I would let another person enjoy that nice jacket.
