I would say the method is the same as greek coffee.
My grandmother told me that this also was the way to make coffee here in Austria at home, some 70 years ago. Although real coffee was quite a luxury after or while the war.

It's a great fit and will get even better with time! And the leather is really something special. I saw it's larger brother in Engelbert Vanek's workshop. It was the last batch of leather from an Austrian tannery before they closed. I'm glad it found a good home once again! Cheers!
