Liked this one on Facebook. Such a nice form and finish. Large and in charge Fabio!
Love an English 'Berg. That liner tip is really nice. Everyone needs a few black homburgs! Love this one Mark.
Very nice Randall. They were still making "real" hats in the 1960s. All the right bells and whistles on this one. I too desire a 40s/50s vintage one, but this one is a great find.
Oh man, that color! Doing what a hat should, keeping the rain off your noggin. Love that overcoat. I think...
My wife and I have been very good about getting out for a walk every day. I have been able to switch to straw as the weather in Oregon is unusually warm. My standard has been a Cappas Bogart straw that I got from Mike Miller way back in the early days of my hat addiction.
Great looking Wormser Michael. It is good to see your great outfits again.
I do love that optimo crease in a fine straw. Nice one Bill.
Got out for a bit of a bike ride this afternoon. The wind was ferocious. I wore this Czech made Basque and it served the purpose well.

I have put this rare hat out on Ebay. Don't know if anyone is willing to take this restoration on. It would be a crazy cool display piece though. Price drop.

Made an escape rope out of toilet paper (yes, we have enough and are not hoarding) and scaled the parapet walls. Trip out for supplies, both folks and us. Kind of an autumnal look, in this sunshine, but I'm trying not to repeat ensembles. Knox Stratoliner clone fedora from the mid-1950s along...
I have been the sacrificial lamb in out family, doing the shopping and going to the post office. I have no problem leaving the house, I just don't get crazy about it. You can't be so afraid of the 'Rona Monster that you totally isolate yourself, just take precautions. I look at each trip as a...
If anyone here wants the Cav Derby shoot me an offer. Would like to keep this collector's item in the family. Otherwise, I'll toss it in "the Bay" later tonight.
I think I'll probably throw it out on Ebay today. Maybe some rich person will give it a home. I should go through the effort to restore it, but the lure of a new hat from Northwest Hats is too great.
A quick trip out to the post office today to mail a Homburg and some aquarium plants. I just grabbed the first one off the go-to pile, the Resistol 880 fell into my hand. The change over to straws being on the shelf is on my list of things to do. Been spending way too much time on Facebook of...
I like seeing everything green there Brent. It is a nice contrast with the rich color of that beautiful lid.
Wonderful to see these Alan. The color and finishes are a dream.
Very nice Sir! I love that ribbon treatment. You do have a style!
We have had a bunch of turkeys roaming the streets of Albany lately. They hang out in the historic district of 1890s houses. Suckers just do what they want, you have to wait until they clear the street before driving on...
I have had too much time on my hands. It makes me dig through the "hat room" and ponder various hats. Do I have too many? I don't think so. But...
Thinning the herd from time to time keeps the juices flowing. I have had a real dry spell on new hats coming into my life. Kind of sad times...
I'm going to put this up on Ebay tonight. What is the consensus about the price for this old Derby? Less/more? Prices on Ebay are kind of crazy, but I can't tell if they are selling.
Had to go to the bank this morning, figured a Homburg "banker's hat" was appropriate. This is a early 1950s Stetson St. Regis. I find that this is a duplicate in my collection, it too will be on the auction block in the next few days. I will offer it to you folks first. Best to keep these...
Stetson Homburg 7 1/4 - an odd ball from the early 1960s. Stetson has brought back the "Vita Felt" name whenever they need a new marketing ploy. The early 1960s brought a new DuPont finish/water proofing process that needed a "hook". They put Vita Felt on the front of the sweat band and...
