Here is a shot of my yellow Super Sportsman in HH - a very different beast (literally) from the vegcow Dominator! The Super Phantoms in orange HH and racing green sheep are in the other shot…
I have 8 - the Western would make it 9! A mix of vintage and new custom versions - I started out with the former but found it a bit of a lottery, so went custom afterwards and every one of those has been excellent in terms of quality and fit - though very different flavours. I am paRtial to...
Hi Marc,
I did not specify it, but you can choose on a custom jacket - it might be typical for this model, as my orange version of the SP had a rectangular patch, but my other new ones (Dominator and Super Sportsnan) have the oval version - LL have used both in the past. Or you can ask them to...
Here are a few shots of the Super Phantom jacket in vegtan sheep in their racing green, in case it helps for comparison - this is not the Rutland sheep btw, but the standard price offering.
Yes - the modern version is much nicer than the original, as Marc says. I have this in most of my new ones but switched to plain red unquilted in the Vegcow Dominator as I wanted to keep it as light as possible with the thicker leather, with sateen arm lining, so I could keep a really snug fit...
Hi Folks - a few to add to the mix
Aero x 14
Lewis Leathers x 8
Belstaff x 2
Vanson x 1
Eastman x 1
Barbour/Simmons Bilt x 1
Thedi x 1 (on order)
Field Leathers x1 (on order)
I also prefer the later 402 for its cleaner lines from the front. Both are great classic jackets though - a bit like choosing whether you prefer the Clash (391) or the Ramones (402) - you can't go wrong either way…..!
I wouldn't call it dark seal - they are both black but with an undertone of brown, and in certain lights the Aero looks blacker than the LL, but in other lights the reverse is true. When you see either in their own they both clearly look black rather than brown. I think it is because both...
I am a big fan of the Stow boots by Trickers - they are great quality and v versatile - they currently have a sale on at present if you check out their website - some Stows on offer in kudu, which are close to burgundy and go well with leather jackets imo….here are a pair of mine in a paler...
I posted these photos on another thread earlier, but thought it might be of interest to those looking specifically at Ridley options, so reposted them here - this is a custom black badalassi Slim MC jacket from Aero (their own in-house version of the Ridley) that landed yesterday, with Irvin...
They both did a great job with the custom fits - I tweaked the base dimensions a bit differently for the two, but essentially shortened sleeves and body by a couple of inches. Delighted with both - the LL fits like a glove, and has narrower sleeves and shoulders than the Aero - the Aero has...
I received a custom black badalassi “Slim fit MC” jacket (their own version of the Ridley offered by Thurston) from Aero yesterday - the leather has some similarities to the LL Dominator, in terms of hand, grain etc - the former is heavier and the colourtone is more black, with the teacore...
I have a new custom vegcow Dominator - its a beautiful hide and a good step up from the standard HH, which I also have - the sheep is also a great leather, and the racing green is v smart. Both the veg cow and sheep have a v nice hand - they are midweight but not flimsy (think badalassi...
Yes - I have received swatches from them in the past year, and have a new sheepskin Super Phantom in the vegtan racing green - its an amazing leather. Unlike any of the HH or cowhide I have but not flimsy like lamb - it is soft but thick, and needs no breaking in, with a really lovely hand and...
Aero currently have a limited trial run of black badalassi at present that you might want to check out - I think that would be perfect for this style....
I also think the cafe racer is too big in the back - the Everyman looks v good though, so the Boardracer they do might be a better bet for you than the cafe racer - it is a more similar cut to the Everyman, with a less severe V shape than the cafe racer. Given the Everyman still has a bit of...
The petrolio badalassi William Lennon fell boots taken here in production - the blue-green colour shows much better here than in my own shot posted above....
