^ Update on the washing thing... I have now washed three old Burberry coats successfully. They had been dry cleaned before and I had thought them clean, but now they are CLEAN. It really does make a huge difference! Very satisfying. Two of them need some ironing, but I'll get to that eventually...

Oh yeah, that's so true. Most of the time a rusted out, crappy old car has no more value than scrap, and isn't something worth spending a dime on. Yet some people will spend tens of thousands on "restoring" yet another 1960s Mustang or a 1980s 911 Porsche or some similar banal, mass-produced...
