maybe similar but I don't thinks that's it. the black vintage shinki is black on the top coat and black on the underside flesh (hand painted maybe?? Who knows) but has a light brown middle core, it feels oiled/waxed to me.
thanks @Robbie79, it is definitely my best JL yet plus color wise it's so different with the FW so it's a very welcome option to have. I'm having a padded cross zip CHP with detachable honey brown mouton collar made out of black Shinki and that might take the cake over this one lol
seeing the...
As is yours and it will eventually have some wear on it lol it's on the regular rotation for sure
according to Horween tannage list the Vermont is a full grain straight veg tanned tumbled smooth leather. it has a pigment finish for sure so it repels water well, i tried to wet the sleeves over...
Thanks @Bfd70 , its very good. I can only compare it to a few makers due to my limited jacket experience but all my JL jacket seems to have no tightness with forward/over head reach even when using 3.5oz cxl. I'd say mobility is slightly better than my FW Mulholland and not tight like some...
Watanabe-san from Genco is a real one, I got my black Mulholland from them and my experience was nothing short of exceptional. They don't alter the declaration value but they don't charge for the local tax
I am too, the top coat still haven't worn off to show a lighter brown core even though this is a preowned jacket, probably 2-3 years old maybe a little more. I've only had this jacket for about 8 months and I did wet the sleeves to set the creases to my arm shape.
Good to know you grabbed a...
so cool, enjoy the rest of your trip! is that a new jacket to take home with you?
that's a nice shade of brown and seems like a great fit. I was wondering how this Vancouver cowhide will look with a trucker pattern and yep it looks awesome. congrats
what a cool guy Peal is! It seems to be my size too if it's too small for you lol but the sleeves seem quite long for my short self
the back design looks perfect, looks so good
thanks man, it really is a great jacket and always feel good when wearing it
thanks bud and welcome back and I hope you get to sell some of your jackets to maybe make way for your very own Mulholland. hope you had a great summer. here's another one to whet you're appetite lol
agree with what @ericsanpablo31 said. the flannel lining feels warmer than the cotton twill/satin/cotton drill/wool or wool blend linings I've ever had. it works great with a shirt for the Fall/Winter even early Spring where I live. the flannel is easy to wear, getting the jacket on/off is easy...
congrats on your new LL jacket, it looks great. good luck with the search for another cross zip and while youre at it might as well get a cafe racer and a trucker and maybe a brown jacket as well lol welcome to the lounge
