Had to have a routine checkup, so wore my new old bowler to the doctors. Had to stop by the courthouse and on the way out the sheriff's deputy at the door paid me a compliment on the hat.- MisplacedHillbilly

Hey guys, I just bought a Lincoln Bennett &Co Bowler from ebay. My question is this, how difficult is it to steam a dent like this out? I've read that bowlers use a particularly stiff felt and I haven't the experience of working on one before. Thanks!- MisplacedHillbilly

Thanks for the information Jack,that makes allot more sense to me. I couldn't figure out if it was done on a wire wheel how they kept the edges of the stummel crisp and didn't tear out the bead on the bulldog.- MisplacedHillbilly

It's one I really like as well, one of the main reasons I bought the bent bulldog I posted earlier in fact. In researching Dr.Grabow I've mostly seen it referred to as "wire carved", seems it was done with a stiff wire wheel.- MisplacedHillbilly
