No question, an exceptional and cool jacket, congratulations! Unfortunately, as is often the case with original things (e.g. leather jackets) that are so old, the question is: keep the original and only suitable as a display or restore it to make it wearable but the originality is destroyed...

In fact, I have a RiRi Zipper on my custom made Thedi MTC-127980. Personally, I'm not a fan of the RiRi zippers, they are undoubtedly of good quality, no question. However, the zipper on my Thedi move very difficult and the slider is okay for this type of jacket, but I have other preferences...
I think it also has to do if you wear a low or high waisted jean... if you looking for an authentic fit as seen on vintage pictures of leather jackets in that era the hem is supposed to be worn above the belt line: double buckle design. But of course, that's a personal preference.

That would be too good to be true, I think this is a knock off. The seller also offers an "indigo" leather jacket made in the style of a DH, which also smells a lot like a knock off to me...
Edit: But it's certainly not wrong to ask the seller about the origin of the jackets.
I would be proud if a manufacturer named one of their models after my idea. You really did great preparatory work with the "new Amsterdam", Greg "just" had to implement it, lol
