The dark moss VS today. It hardly ever gets any head time. The dimensional brim drives me insane and I don’t like wearing my brim down. It was my first custom hat, I didn’t know any better. It’s a shame, I absolutely love the color and the feel of the felt.
This was at John’s of Bleecker Pizzaria. It’s in the west village in manhattan. Some say it’s the last place with a coal oven in the city, but I know Lombardi’s has one too, and I’m sure it’s older. Atmosphere was cool, pizza was fantastic, even my vegan wife was able to eat (pasta/marinara)...
Thanks. I actually lived on Bleecker many years ago, above the Rock n Roll Cafe, and have never been in John’s. Lombardi’s, I would’ve said, was always my favorite. I’m hearing they may not be as good as they used to be. Gonna have to find out.

So today I stood in line on the streets of Manhattan for nearly an hour, drizzling and windy as heck, to get into a pizza place. Ordinarily I’d find another spot, that’s a long wait. It was absolutely worth the wait. And I was glad to have my black cherry VS to cover my head.
