The badalassi in both brown and black is a far nicer hide than the vicenza in my view - it has more character, colour depth and a smoother hand - it is more similar to the Lewis premium vegecow in all those regards. I have attached a quick shot of the Weayfarer after a week of wear and being...
For comparison I also have this custom Wayfarer in black badalassi - it is in a totally different league to both vicenza and CXL in my view - it has a real richness to it, and is really supple but also thick and grainy - by far their best hide!
I have posted this new arrival on the What Jacket Are You Wearing….thread, but thought it should also be added here to follow on the conversation. This is the black badalassi Wayfarer, with dark brown mouton collar and body lining, with padded wool rayon sleeves and storm cuffs. It is a custom...
Both look miles better after the tailoring! I have both these jackets myself and the same issues you had - too broad in the shoulders with excess leather in the upper back of the CR and too much flair in the hem of the EM despite a tight fit in the chest - though both my cases are not as...
Here is my black badalassi Aero Slimfit MC aka Ridley - I have one in blue Vicenza too and the badalassi wins hands down. It is by far the best leather Aero offer in my view.

I would say it is a “fashion” jacket in the sense that they are very high profile among the more trendy set and with lots of product placement etc, rather than using “fashion” in a negative sense per se - I would bet that on asking a random sample of high street shoppers in London or another...
Thanks Marc! This is clearly the model they copied - the original is a much nicer looking jacket on balance…the extra attention to detail elevates it over the Belstaff.
Yep - looks like a straight-up copy - it had the wrist straps too but I removed them as I hate having straps there (none on my Aero Wayfarers either) as they serve no great purpose for me and just get snagged on things endlessly - I guess the back is also similar to this Windward? The shoulder...
Belstaff half-belt - a bit of a “fashion jacket” but has put in a decade of service and is a more lightweight option - I would not buy this brand again new as there are much better options out there for a lot less money. The leather itself is OK for a lightweight hide with a good drape and it...
