Wise words to live by (jacket related)

Take time to understand what measurement ranges work best for you and don't ignore one important measurement that does not get mentioned at all - chest width (as opposed to pit to pit). Big difference between two jackets with the same pit to pit but 1" difference in chest width. Measurements...

    Five Star Leather Jackets

My premium goat was thick enough to form rolls, which shortens the sleeves a bit. Making the shoulders narrower also makes the sleeves shorter.

Leather jacket sizing, too big or small?

Also asking for an opinion on fit and providing only one unzipped front photo from one angle is as low effort as it gets.

Leather jacket sizing, too big or small?

For that kind of money you could go to Johnson Leathers (just to name one example) and get an absolute top quality, high-end, custom, built-for-a-lifetime leather jacket with the leather of your choice and support a small honest business which will have a personal contact with you. And yet you...

    Vanson! Vanson! Vanson!

I actually had a chopper as well, but didn't like it nearly as much. Assuming S is 36 then it was the same size as my model E, but it fit too wide at the waist and definitely too long in the body. Loved the quilting and shoulder gussets though!

    Vanson! Vanson! Vanson!

If I'd have to pick one jacket to keep out of all the ones I have/had then it would be my model E.

    High Rise Jeans

I can understand how rise can be tricky when you have more of a \/ at the hips area and your waist/belly is wider than your hips. No matter the rise the denim just keeps ending up at the same location (unless you use suspenders?) and the main thing that changes is how much extra space you have...

    Vanson! Vanson! Vanson!

I think that you need to take the intended market into account as well - Japan market Vansons tend to have narrower sleeves if I'm not mistaken. But overall there are a lot of Enfield examples on TFL and the sleeves seem fine. We have had reports that the recent comp weight is rather...

    Vanson! Vanson! Vanson!

Rather due to narrow sleeves. I had the sleeves of one Vanson jacket broadened and it solved the issue.

Oh I remember this one, very memorable jacket! This is where I got the idea to make a lining patch pocket for my hooch hauler.

Looks like a female model to me based on the proportions and the type of front drop it has. But I'm not an expert.

New forum member brand (Rugged West)

Saw that on IG today yeah. Looks fantastic, especially the leather on that one piece back! Really feels like RW is cementing itself among the top leather jacket players, especially in that price bracket.
